Dr. Vanchai Chirathivat

Dr. Vanchai Chirathivat is Chairman of the Central Group of Companies, which comprises Central Department Store Co., Ltd., Central Trading Co., Ltd. and Central Plaza Hotel Public Company Limited.

In addition, he is currently Permanent Honorary Chairman of Moral Support Foundation, Vice President of Thian Fah Foundation Hospital, Director of the Thai-Chinese Investment Promotion Association and Permanent Honorary Chairman of Hainan Association of Thailand.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 1993 and is currently Honorary Chairman.
 
Mr. Chavalit Thanachanan

Thailand's Deputy Minister of Finance in early 1991, Mr. Chavalit Thanachanan is the current Chairman of Bangkok Life Assurance, Thai Tinplate MFG Co., Ltd. and The Post Publishing Public Company Limited.

With a B.A. in Economics from the University of Manchester, Mr. Chavalit has had a long and distinguished career that began as lecturer at Srinakharinwirot University in 1954. Among several economy-related posts, he served as Director for the Bank of Thailand's Department of Economic Research, Manager of the Exchange Equalisation Fund, Governor of the Bank of Thailand, Director of the Bank of Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, and Adviser to the Foreign Affairs Committee.

Mr. Chavalit served as Chairman of such notable institutions as the Industrial Finance Corporation of Thailand, The Communications Authority of Thailand, the Expressway and Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, Securities One Public Company Limited and The Stock Exchange of Thailand. He also served a number of charitable foundations, including as Director of the Chin Sophonpanich Foundation and the Won Preuk Chalerm Phrakiat Rama 9 Foundation, and Chairman of the Prof. Sangvien Indravichai Foundation.

In 1985, Mr. Chavalit was awarded the Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand, and in 1987, the Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant. Mr. Chavalit was presented an honorary doctorate degree in Commerce and Accountancy from Thammasat University in 1990. That same year, he was selected as Banking and Finance Magazine's Banker of the Year.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in October 1997 as an Independent Director, and was elected Chairman of the Board in the same year.
 
Mr. Suthikiati Chirathivat

Executive Vice Chairman of the Central Group of Companies, Chairman of the Executive Board, Central Hotels & Resorts and Central Fast Food Group (which holds franchises for KFC, Mister Donut, Auntie Anne's, Pizza Hut, and Baskin-Robbins), and Director of Central Pattana Public Company Limited, Mr. Suthikiati Chirathivat was a member of the National Legislative Assembly from 1991 to 1992 and served as Senator from 1992 to 1996. He serves on the committees of many charities and sports organisations.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 1982, and is currently Chairman of the Executive Committee and Chief Executive Officer.
 
Dr. Siri Ganjarerndee

A Bank of Thailand scholar in 1966, Dr. Siri Ganjarerndee earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in Economics (with honours) at Sydney University, and a Ph.D. at Monash. In the early 70s, while studying in Australia, he also spent a considerable amount of time teaching at Sydney University and the University of N.S.W., and was concurrently appointed a Research Officer at the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Back to serve the Bank of Thailand in 1975, he worked through the rank and file of the organisation, until his final position as Senior Assistant Governor. He also has working experience as an Adviser in the Executive Director's Office of the International Monetary Fund in Washington. The nature of his work has required him to participate frequently in major international forums. He was appointed Chairman and Vice Chairman of Dulwich International College and The Thai Vegetable Oil Public Company Limited, respectively, in the year 2000. For 2002-2003, he was appointed as Acting President and then President of Thai Military Bank.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing
Public Company Limited in May 1999.
 
Mr. Pichai Vasnasong

Mr. Pichai Vasnasong is currently Chairman of Samart Corporation Plc. He is also Academic Director of Rangsit University and the Thai Chamber of Commerce.

He is involved in numerous social development organisations. He is Chairman of The Family Planning Foundation of Thailand, Director of The Family Planning Association of Thailand, The Foundation of the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, and the Erawan Hotel's Brahma Foundation.

He is a graduate of Architecture from Chulalongkorn University. He has served as Consultant to a number of ministers – Minister of Foreign Affairs Gen. Siddhi Savetsila, Minister of Finance Sommai Huntrakul, and Prime Minister Prem Tinsulanonda. He was a Senator between 1985 and 2000.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in May 2000, and is currently a member of the Audit Committee and Chairman of the Nomination and
Remuneration Committee.
 
Mr. Suthichai Chirathivat

Mr. Suthichai Chirathivat is currently Executive Chairman of the Central Group of Companies, comprising a retail corporation, real estate development, garment manufacturing, hotels, and fast-food businesses.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 1992 and is currently a member of the Executive Committee.
 
Mr. Kuok Khoon Ean

Mr. Kuok Khoon Ean has been with the Kuok Group since 1978 and is a Director of Kerry Holdings Ltd., and Chairman of SCMP Group Limited. Mr. Kuok graduated from Nottingham University, U.K., with a bachelor's degree in Economics in 1977.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in May 1999.
 
Mr. Johannes Bernardus van der Linden

After the war, Mr. Johannes Bernardus van der Linden spent three years in the Netherlands Army in Indonesia until 1948, when he joined the Royal Dutch Shell Group, serving in a number of countries in finance and general management from 1948 to 1979, the last five years as Finance Director for the Group in Thailand and Laos.

He was Managing Director of Multi Credit Corporation of Thailand from 1979 until 1989. From 1987 to 1998, he served on the General Committee of the Royal Bangkok Sports Club.

He rejoined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 1990 after retiring from MCC. Currently, he is assistant to the
Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
 
Mr. Worachai Bhicharnchitr

Managing Director of law firm Vickery & Worachai Ltd., Mr. Worachai Bhicharnchitr holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Law from Thammasat University and New York University, U.S.A., respectively. He also graduated from the National Defence College of Thailand. He also holds various social and business positions, including being Chairman and Director of many multinational companies and joint ventures in Thailand. He was a Lecturer in both undergraduate and graduate studies at the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 1994, and is currently a member of the Executive Committee, and also a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
 
Mr. John Thompson

Mr. John Thompson is currently the Managing Director of TMB Macquarie Securities, Thailand. He is a Chartered Accountant and worked with Price Waterhouse (U.K.) from 1987-1991.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 2005 as an Independent Director and a member of the Audit Committee.
 
Ms. Nancy Valiente

As Chief Financial Officer of South China Morning Post Group Limited, Ms. Valiente is responsible for financial planning and strategy, risk management, management reporting, and investor relations. As Managing Director of South China Morning Post Publishers Limited, she manages the commercial risks and coordinates business initiatives and operations across all business units of the newspaper publishing business. She holds an MBA from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A.

Ms. Nancy Valiente joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in April 2005.
 
Mr. Lindley J. Holloway

Mr. Holloway has spent 30 years in the newspaper and publishing industry in Asia, the United Kingdom, and Australia. He managed newspaper groups in Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, and was Chief Executive and Managing Director of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) and its major subsidiaries.

Mr. Holloway moved to London in 1985 and joined News Corporation. He was elected to the Board of News International, London PCL. He became Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive of South China Morning Post in 1988 following its purchase by News Corporation in 1987.

Mr. Holloway first joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in April 1993 and retired at the end of 1997, upon his retirement from South China Morning Post. He is at present, again a member of this Board.
 
Mr. Sudhitham Chirathivat

Mr. Sudhitham Chirathivat is Executive Director of the Central Group of Companies (Retail Operations), responsible for Real Estate and Retail Development. His main focus is Central Pattana Public Company Limited, which has a market capital of US$1 billion, and is one of Thailand's leading developers of quality shopping centres and related commercial projects.

Under Mr. Sudhitham's leadership, Central Pattana has built many regional shopping centres in Thailand, either fully owned by the company, or in cooperation with joint-venture partners.

Mr. Sudhitham holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park, in 1971, and an MBA from Iona University, New York.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 2004
 
Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich

Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich was educated in the U.S.A. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he obtained two master’s degrees — one in Management and the other in Chemical Engineering. After working at Citibank in New York, he returned to Thailand in 1986 to join Bangkok Bank. He held various senior management positions in Bangkok Bank before being appointed President in December 1994.

He is currently Chairman of the Thai Bankers' Association, a board member of Visa International — Asia Pacific, a director of Thai Asset Management Corporation, and a director of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited.
 
Mr. David Armstrong

Mr. David Armstrong was appointed a director of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited on 20 February 2004. He became Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Company on 1 May 2005. At the same time, Mr. Armstrong was appointed Director, Editorial, of South China Morning Post Publishers Limited in Hong Kong, where he had previously been Group Editor-in-Chief.

Mr. Armstrong has been involved in newspaper and magazine publishing since graduating from university in Australia in 1970, and has had a successful career as a journalist, editor, and manager. He has twice been editor-inchief of the South China Morning Post, and twice in charge of The Australian, Australia's national daily newspaper. He was also editor of The Canberra Times, the Australian news magazine, The Bulletin, and deputy editor of Sydney's The Daily Telegraph.
