A full day trend update at “ELLE Beauty Radar 2019” , The Glass House, Park Nai Lert, 29 November 2018

Because fashion trends and beauty trends always come together, ELLE Beauty Radar 2019 set out to inspire for the first time in Thailand together with key partners, famous Thai brand Mistine, and leading Thai makeup artists.

Soraya Wattanajiamwong, Executive Editor and Director of Digital Editorial ELLE Thailand, said in the workshop: "As a French fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazine, ELLE Thailand has made us aware of international trends and brought them to readers. This makes us feel that in addition to fashion trends, why don't we focus on the beauty trends that are important for women as well?"

"Our ELLE Fashion Week is a platform that connects the world’s fashion trends with Thai fashion brands. So why don’t we have a beauty platform to connect the world's beauty trends with Thai beauty brands? This is the motivation behind ELLE Beauty Radar 2019, with the support of Mistine Cosmetics. It is a collaboration between our beauty team and four national artists demonstrating the trends in person.” 

“A makeup demonstration on stage showcases 4 looks for the 4 seasons, Spring – Summer – Autumn – Winter. The makeup artists use famous Thai cosmetics brand, Mistine, products. They will show that in addition to a daily-look makeup style, you can also create an international-class runway-look style. Workshop participants can try out the products and apply the makeup themselves.”

Spring Look: For this bright and lively season. Start the 2019 fashion makeup trend with the Spring Look, focusing on using makeup to convey vividness and vitality. Jirayu Deesara, the artist who created this look, says it is suitable for a new beginning.

Runway Look: Use light pink eye shadow and light purple pastel shimmer to make the skin look glow with a bright and shiny face. Focus the eyes with Super Black Fixed Liner. Lightly structure the eyebrows. Make them look natural while emphasising long eyelashes with mascara. Gradient the lips with pink “Amour en Rouge Satin Pure Colour” overlaid with a thin orange ombre.

Daily Look: Changing lipstick colour from pink to light pink or nude with gradient colour like ombre achieves a lightness that offers a casual, everyday look.



Summer Look: A season of fun and colour, the highlights are colours that inspire girls to take part in fun activities. A look created by Sorawut Chatkul Na Ayudhya.

Runway Look: A trend to make you look beautiful. Passion Makeup Set offers a palette of eyebrow, eye shadow, blush, highlight, shading and mascara makeup in one cartridge. Starting with the skin, conceal wrinkles with 24 Cover All Foundation, matt texture liquid. Then use Fabulous Blush Palette to add colour to the cheeks, and make the skin clear and healthy. Adorn the eyelids with purple and blue sea eye shadow. Apply eyelashes with Pro Long Big Eye Waterproof Mascara. Then complete the look with reddish brown lipstick, Amour en Rouge Satin Pure Colour.

Daily Look: Switch lipstick colour to red-orange and use thin purple and blue sea eye shadow in the middle and tail. Add a little shimmer to the eye to create a soft look for every day.


Autumn Look: A season of dreamy enchantment. The trend of fashion makeup in autumn focuses on clarity of the skin. Created by makeup artist Tasanapong Sawatdipong.

Runway Look: The main dark eyebrow tone offers brightness of reddish tones or the gold of autumn leaves. Eyes Speak True Feeling Eye Palette, pearl sparkle brown tone and Tasty Café Eye Palette, brown pink nude tone. Add colour to the lips with Boss Semi Matte lipstick, reddish-brown.

Daily Look: For a bright look, change the lipstick colour to bright red or darken the cheeks for a makeup look you can use every day.


Winter Look: The season of graceful elegance. Fashion makeup trends in the winter highlight makeup with a healthy look using earth-tone colours like golden brown. Emphasise the eye and eyebrows using highlights and eye shadow as created by Kamon Chatsen.

Runway Look: Start with flawless Wings Extra Cover Super Powder SPF25 PA ++ which instantly smoothens out the skin. Blush with 3D Satin Beam Blusher to add dimension to the face. Add charm to your eyes with Groove Complete Eye Palette and golden-brown colour. For eyeliner, use 9 To 5 Matte Auto Pen Eyeliner. For mascara use Pro Long Dolly Big Eye Waterproof. Complete the look with creamy lipstick, 9 To 5 Over Colour, brown tone and Queen’s Rose, nude tone. 

Daily Look: Change the lipstick colour to a brighter shade. A pink tone matte lipstick or pale pink blush goes well with nude lipstick colour.

The evening fashion show everyone was waiting for was held in a Glass House complete with runway. Over 40 models presented beauty looks for the four seasons. “Bella-Ranee Campen” came on with a bright and lively spring look. "Min-Peechaya Wattanamontree” presented a playful summer look. "Kimberley-Anne Woltemas" presented a dreamy look of autumn. "Ploy-Chermarn Boonyasak" transformed into a cold and discreet angel of winter.



The show concluded with number-one superstar fairy, Aum-Patcharapa Chaichua, in a surprise finale joined by Danai Derojanawong, Managing Director of Better Way (Thailand) and Mistine cosmetic brand. The show drew loud applause from the audience. Plus Mistine introduced a new angel, Sammy Cowell, who updated makeup trends and cool items from Mistine.





The fashion show was completed with new clothes collection from Fall / Winter 2018: Secret Garden from TUBE GALLERY created by Thai designers Pisit Jongnarangsin and Saksit Pisalasupongs. Inspired by "Manora Ballet” the fashion show was divided into four sets, tracking changing makeup trends for spring, summer, autumn and winter.
