Forbes Thailand and TISCO Wealth presented an alternative investment forum on “Investment Opportunities in the Digital Era: Finding the Right Balance”. The exclusive, by invitation only dinner talk on tomorrow’s key investments and digital trends featuring distinguished panellists took place on 12 March 2018 at Chandra Ballroom, Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok.

“Forbes Thailand Alternative Investments 2018” was an exclusive event for 170 private wealth customers of TISCO, supported by senior executives from Bangkok Post, Forbes Thailand, and TISCO Group, including Mr. Chokdee Wisansing, Mr. Suthat Ruangmanamongkol, Mr. Sakchai Peechapat, Mr. Metha Pingsuthiwong, Ms. Pavinee Ongvasith, and others, who warmly welcomed all the distinguished guests.
The forum was opened and moderated by Mr. Pat Jungkankul. Mr. Teeranun Srihong addressed the issue of technological disruptions and raised the case of Swiss watches that succeeded in dealing with disruption caused by the emergence of quartz technology about 30 years ago. He offered four tips for dealing with technological disruption: Hyperawareness, Informed Decision Making, Fast Execution, and Proactive Partnership.

Mr. Paiboon Nalinthrangkurn mentioned disruptions that occur in capital markets, pointing out that 75% of shares traded in the United States are initiated by computer algorithms. This high-frequency trading enables stocks to be traded within a timeframe of thousandths of a second. The opportunity to invest in technology stocks that provide amazing returns over the years was also mentioned.
