Post Publishing’s Executive Vice President for Digital Media, Suthida Maleipan, was voted chairwoman of the Society of Online News Providers (SONP) yesterday, the first woman to hold the position.

Suthida: SONP’s first female boss
Ms Suthida is the third person to chair the society, which supports a free flow of online information and encourages respect for online copyright.
She has been elected to serve a one-year term. The SONP’s members include leading online news providers including Post Publishing, ASTV and Matichon.
Ms Suthida said she will focus on working with other professional organisations, improving the skills of online news producers, and creating guidelines for providing online news within the framework of the law.
The SONP also yesterday elected a new 14-member executive board and appointed nine advisers.
