Post Publishing Plc together with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration announced yesterday an event to promote cycling and tourism in Bangkok.

The activity, ``A Ride to Thai Intellectual Stimulation and World Book Capital'', will take place on Oct 11.

Combining urban cycling with tourism and the World Book Capital celebration, the organisers are inviting cyclists to participate in a bike ride that will start at City Hall and pass by several landmarks on Rattanakosin Island including the Golden Mount, Ratchadamnoen Boxing Stadium, Dusit Zoo, Santichaiprakarn Park, plus many more.

"As the publisher of the M2F newspaper, which provides up to date news for Bangkok people, Post Publishing wants to be part of  celebrations marking our city being named World Book Capital for 2013," says Supakorn Vejjajiva, chief operating officer of Post Publishing. "We've come up with the event as a goodwill gesture to Bangkok people." Cyclists can apply now at a cost of 500 baht for two people.
