Net sales from its online store doubled those of the year 1999.
During the year 2000, Post Books published five new titles, namely, Office Automation; But, I Don't Give A Hoot!; Good Morning, Buddha; Reflections through the Lens; and Boy, Doc and the Green Man. In the meantime, four best-sellers, English by Newspaper; Thai Ways; More Thai Ways; and Phra Farang: An English Monk in Thailand (extended edition) were reprinted. Both But, I Don't Give A Hoot! and Good Morning, Buddha, titles of two extremes, were an overnight success. It is most likely that there will be second editions printed in less than a year after their release.

October 2000 marked another significant move to expand the department's scope of business, as Post Books took over the operation of Post Kiosk.

Worth mentioning is that the net sales from its online store doubled those of the year 1999, again driven by the great demand for But, I Don't Give A Hoot! and Good Morning, Buddha.

Most noteworthy of Post Books' marketing activities in the year 2000 was the unprecedented virtual launch of The White Umbrella. A mini-site was created at www.bangkokpost.com/postbooks and linked to the author's page and the British Burma Society site. The launch was timed to coincide with the author's launch party in Regina, Canada.
