To achieve the required prolific output, Special Publications forged a staff structure based firmly on teamwork and unity.

The Bangkok Post's Special Publications department is the Supplements' editorial and creative arm. Due to the knowledge and skills of its staff, whose strong commitment and sense of responsibility assure the quality of its products, the department was able to produce more than 163 supplements in the year 2000. These supplements, in magazine, broadsheet and tabloid formats, featured almost all types of products and industries, celebrated corporate certifications and awards, introduced new companies and businesses, praised education and health initiatives and recognised government and state enterprises -- always to the satisfaction of the customer.

To achieve the required prolific output, Special Publications forged a staff structure based firmly on teamwork and unity. This working ethos is aided by well-defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for a systematic workflow system. Quality Control Circle (QCC), 5S inspections, and collective performance appraisals further enhanced efficiency. Training and development programmes provided the staff with opportunities to upgrade their skills in all related fields, including electronic publishing.

Although a slight decrease in ISO supplements was observed, the number of grand opening supplements almost doubled, along with special publications on education, and government and state enterprises, indicating an upward trend in future business.
