The year 2005 was another strong year for Student Weekly, Thailand's leading Englishlanguage magazine. As well as strong school sales, the year saw a further strengthening of newsstand sales and subscriptions, showing that Student Weekly continues to be the must-have magazine for hundreds of thousands of readers, regardless of age, gender or schooling.

With a bold new look rolled out for mid-year 2005, Student Weekly also continued to lead the way and set new standards in magazine design. Innovative and stylish covers were complemented by colourful and eye-catching page spreads inside.

Content hinged around bringing readers high-profile entertainment stories and interviews with some of the world's biggest names.

Avril Lavigne, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and Backstreet Boys are just some of the
international artists who graced the magazine's pages in 2005. Thai artists were not left out, with Moderndog, Armchair, Lanna Commins, and Tata Young making a big splash in
Student Weekly.

While the emphasis is always on fun, in 2005, Student Weekly also revised its Englishlanguage tips and tricks sections for learners of all ages. Engaging feature stories, plus reviews and regular columns made up the package.

Lastly, Student Weekly signed up two new syndicated features in 2005: BioGraphic and Tokyopop, both of which proved to be instant successes. The full-colour BioGraphic brings celebrities to life with high-quality illustrations and fact boxes, while Tokyopop is Student Weekly's very first Manga-style comic.

The fact that these two new features have proved to be highly popular underlines the fact
that Student Weekly continues to lead the market in making English effortless.
